Ears and Teeth?

I'm always amazed at those little tooth buds that start to pop through and the huge tooth that actually emerges.  Teething is a horrible thing for Julian.  Those bottom incisors caused so much drama in our lives, but he stayed healthy!

For the last three he's had cold symptoms, but I thought it might be the top incisors.  His nose was runny and he's been chomping on things.  This morning he was acting really squealy and crying a lot.  He pulled on his ear but I though it was his eczema.  He looked at me and said ear while pulling so I called the clinic and begged to be seen.

They were completely booked up today. The way it works here, if you come during office hours there is no fee, but if it's after hours or on the weekend, supposedly you pay and arm and a leg (I'm guess $50 at most...not American prices). The nurse called me back and asked Julian's symptoms and I convinced her that I don't like to go to the doctor, but I think he might have an ear infection.  She got us in.

We went in and they were way behind.  I actually have never had a late appointment before there, but I guess everyone comes in on Fridays to avoid the extra weekend charge.  Anyway, both of his ears were pink and he had a fever even though he had paracetamol (Tylenol equivalent here).  So we got his amoxicillin and he took a long nap, so I hope he feels perfect for when Dan arrives on Tuesday.  Please upper teeth...pop through quickly!

Thankfully he was quite chipper the rest of the day and even before bed, so he's a trooper.  Kids are so amazing!
