Miles Smiles has not been his nickname as of late. His top two teeth have finally poked through and have stayed out of his gums. He is miserable. I feel so badly for him. He's pretty good and keeping busy and occupied while awake, but if he's sleepy, he is in pain, hitting his mouth and pulling his ears. It's sad. So I can say, I don't sleep well.
Miles is in a bottom of the pack n play in our room and I want to night wean and put him in the cot in Julian's room (J wants that too), but I'm so tired and don't want to have to get him in the middle of the night and I really don't want him to wake up J, so we're just keeping him in our room for now. I'm sure the PNP is not very comfortable, but he naps well in it and stays 4 hours (the first part of the night) in it.
- ANIMALS!!! The kid loves animals more than anything!!! He just giggles and giggles at real animal, pictures of animals (real and cartoon), animals on tv, books...he loves animals.
- He snuggles me 90% of the time I pick him up. I get the biggest squeeze around my neck. I LOVE IT!!!
- He loves to play with Duplo Lego people and the dog. I build a wall and windows and he puts them over the wall and pulls them through a window or door. He also has a farm set that was Julian's and he does the same with the farm animals.
- He is moving the animals, cars, and people around like they are driving/walking. It's so cute. He can say moo, arf, and car noises.
- M is nursing more now that I put tv on for Julian and then go nurse in a quiet room. I think he would have weaned before, but if I keep this up, he won't for a while. I'm conflicted. On one hand I don't want to nurse anymore and on the other, he's my last.
- I do not like that he's sensitive to everything I eat and has terrible gas pains
- I don't like that I have to wear certain clothes
- He still gets sick, has excema, and ear infection despite nursing
- He is crawling everywhere and fast.
- He is pulling up onto a small chair
- He can stand for long periods when we prop him at a little table or the couch, but he hasn't pulled up to a full stand.
- He tries to escape out the door anytime it's open, or he bang his head on the glass of the door (sad).
- He doesn't cry except teething pain and gas pain.
- He eats everything!
- He loves his little bath chair. It allows him to bathe with Julian, but not fall over.
- Miles' obsession with my phone is crazy. I never let him play with it because he can get it on, turn it to airplane mode, turn on blue tooth, and other things within 30 seconds. I take it back, he does cry when I take the phone away from him.
- funny story, I was getting notifications about "50 shades of gray" on my facebook page and then I realized, hey, this isn't an ad, I'm following this page. (I've never read the book or watched the movie). M must have hit it somehow. I'm always nervous that he's going to post on someone's wall, send a text, or email and I won't find out about it. With autocorrect, he could do some strange things.
- He knows how to push the buttons of all his toys that have buttons to push. It's cute.
- His favorite fisher price puppy got ALS. There is a button to push on each foot and each hand. One foot stopped working and then the other. Now one of the hands doesn't work. It makes me sad, but he still just loves and cuddles the thing and will still fall asleep while cuddling it.
- Miles loves Julian and they play so well together now. I think J wishes he could be rougher, but he reads to him, plays well, wrestles a bit and the funniest thing is he pulls his legs back when he's getting into something that he shouldn't. Today we were feeding our neighbor's rabbit and Miles kept going up to the cage and J pulled him back over and over and M laughed and laughed. I did the same as he was trying to crawl under Dan's desk, but couldn't duck under the back part and kept banging his head, so I'd pull him back, he's laugh and then go crawl very fast until I pulled him back again.
I love that kid so much. He looks so much like Dan. Such a sweet, content baby. Oh I'm so ready for sleep! Someday.
