He is playing independently now, but likes to know I'm there. I bought him a used Baby Einstein Activity Center and he seems to like it. My goal is to put it in the kitchen or laundry or wherever so I can get some work done around the house since he takes such short naps.
His naps consisted of me bouncing, rocking, or wearing him until he fell asleep and then placing him in his bouncer or on the floor. If we held him he'd sleep an hour instead of 20-30 min, but that was a habit I didn't want to form. It has been too hot this summer to put him in the PNP upstairs during the day, but I started the transition yesterday which was rough. It has been in the 90s and was hot, so I think I'll start again when it cools off.
Julian grabs everything in sight and puts it in his mouth. I feel like we have a toddler.
He's now in size 3 diapers. It feels like yesterday that he was in newborns since he was in them so long.
Everyone who meets him makes a comment on his expressions. One neighbor girl kept saying he looked funny. I knew she didn't mean it to be rude, but she just kept saying, "He looks funny." A friend said he looked like Dopey. I thought that was mean, but I can maybe see the resemblance in the eyes, nose, eyebrows, and forehead..not the ears.

I'm crazy about books. Goodwill's children's books are $0.69 a piece so I got two great, CLEAN Dr. Seuss books, one in Spanish. I also ordered Sandra Boynton books since Julian loves those.and animal sounds. I created an amazon book list for him, but we'll mostly use this as a reminder of what to get at the library.
Ok, off to tend a screamer :(
