What is your earliest memory? I think mine is when I was 2.5 years old. I was swinging on a swing, holding gladiolas, and my mom took polaroids of me. Now, I vividly remember this scene, but then I doubt myself, wondering if it's just the picture that helped me dream it up. Anyway...
Julian and I have been having amazing moments. Ok, not really that amazing, but for me, I am LOVING this stage of his development. We play all day! He still loves his books, but unfortunately he wants me to read one 5-7 times a day...many time back to back until I hide it and he cries until I get another one. Some of my favorite times have been building a fort and sitting in it or setting up his tent from Grandma and Grandpa Smith and him sitting in that playing peek-a-boo and giggling. I should mention that he's obsessed with that game and plays it with strangers too.
How, while he's learning so much right now, can he not have these memories saved for when he's older? I love this time and he does, but he won't remember it. Why? Why did God make us like this? hmmm.
Well, I am just more motivated to get some more videos and pictures of the fun time, though it would probably be mundane to most. I'm just that proud parent who thinks her kid is the most amazing kid ever....ha ha!! I do! Boy, I just love him and this time. If I could freeze it in time, I would for a bit. This past year and FLOWN by!
