Julian hasn't been a big fan of the sippy cup, so yesterday we got him a the straw version and he likes that a lot! He sucked from in instantly; no needing to teach him how to use a straw. He also loves learning how to open and close it. It is the kind that the straw bends and closes so it doesn't get dirty.
Problems:
He wants to be outside all the time and it rained today. Before it rained I took him out and he was having many meltdowns because he choose the only things that he wasn't allowed to play with, to play with. He chased after a cat that was in someone else's apartment window. He went for a parked van. He chooses the most dangerously looking sticks (ones that will really gouge his eyes out). And he tasted dirt yesterday that may have some chemicals in it for growing plants. Why can't he just play? ha ha. My hands are full with this one.
We went out with our small group for ice cream tonight and had a ball except that he wanted to be everywhere at once. I definitely should have gotten a second ice cream with all the calories I burned just running around with him and trying to keep him entertained. We're hoping to see our small group one more time to say goodbye and pray with them.
