I was 16 weeks on Sunday and my belly is just popping out. I planned on wearing the same thing each week for a picture, but it's freezing in our house where I take the picture. I just couldn't get myself to change into a tank top.
I am feeling the baby kick like mad the past couple of days. I read Julian his bedtime stories and baby was kicking the most s/he has ever done. I love it and I miss those sweet kicks...until they're in my ribs :-)
Julian Update:
Three days ago some amazing things happened. I read that my friend had taken her son's pacifier away (he's one week older than Julian) and I was so motivated that I tried it. I hated that it was always in his mouth. He stopped singing and talking and would mumble around it. I explained to him that it would only be for sleeping and that he was a big boy. Wow, was it easy. We haven't had any issues except when he's ready to take a nap (which comes on quickly). He'll start crying, ask for the paci and say, "nigh nigh" over and over until we get to his bed. Last night he went down without it, but I was afraid he was going to wake and want it, so I gave it to him and in it popped. Maybe I should do it all together, but we have friends visiting in December and I'm not sure if I want to be without it on all our travels...but then again, he'd be adjusted by the time he came.
As for worrying about his talking, he is now talking up a storm again without that thing. He's been counting 1, 2, 3 for months now and I've been trying to get him to say 4 and 5 with no avail. Well, we were counting (he loves to repeat 1,2,3) and I said, "4, 5" and he said, "6, 7, 8, 9, 10". I was shocked! My jaw dropped and then I did a dance or some celebration. I was just so amazed at my little smarty pants. ha ha. He still refuses to say 4 and 5, but will count to 10 minus those numbers :)
He also memorizing parts of songs and books which is just fun.
