31 weeks
I cannot believe I haven't posted in a month! I have always wanted to, but it was probably really cold in the house (the weather has changed) and I didn't want to take a photo in the cold hallway or the time just slipped away and I think about it midweek. I suppose that would be better than nothing.
My belly sure has grown. Baby is squished. I get round ligament pain in my right lower abdomen and sometimes the left. I haven't felt rib pain this time. My belly feels so heavy. He just rolls and twists and now I'm trying to sit up right, backwards on a chair, and on my exercise ball to prevent him being posterior, but it didn't work last time.
I can't eat much at night. I just haven't had much of an appetite in the evening, but I get two breakfasts. yum!
I haven't had any back pain until the last couple of days. My tailbone seems to be shifting a bit and causes pain, but nothing like my previous back injury. Can I just praise Jesus again for healing me last fall (spring here in NZ)? No sciatic pain since October!
I now have a student midwife as well as my midwife who are caring for me and who will be at the birth. I'm excited to have an extra set of hands. She is young and sweet and seems eager to help and learn.
Dan and I are starting to plan for the new baby. My mom will thankfully be here to care for Julian. My small group from church just offered to drive them anywhere if they need to get out of the house while I labor so Dan can stay with me. I was so thankful for their offer to help. I'm getting scared of a long labor and him being posterior, but I'm trying to stay positive that we'll just have a happy healthy baby after the pain. I've been reading a little on different laboring positions for posterior babies and relaxation. I haven't been reading much, but I am starting to feel the need to prepare a bit more and not go in blindly.
I'm getting a few more stretch marks around my belly button which aren't too bad, but I have two more months to go so who knows. It's not a big deal to me anyway. I just thought that the first pregnancy would produce all the marks, but I was wrong.
Well, here's to a couple more months/few more weeks!
