Miles is 6 months

Today Miles is 6 months old. The poor guy is really sick...the worst yet.  His eyes have been watering and itchy for a couple of weeks and now his nose pours snot and he is getting a cough.  He's miserable.  It seems as if it's allergies or hay fever.  I went in a couple of days ago because he was screaming for over an hour, but his ears and everything looked fine.  Now he's just miserable and my baby who didn't cry much cries all the time.  Sleep has not been good.

In other news, he is growing!  I think if he was given a bottle of expressed milk or formula, he'd be huge because he prefers a bottle more than nursing.  I think it's because he's so distracted these days.

Miles is wearing 6 months clothes, but he's is fitting some of the 6-9 month for length.  It's going fast now.  He's so long that I feel as if I'm holding someone my length.  He's a kicker too, so it's hard to hold him sometimes.

Tricks

• He started solid foods this past month and loves them.  He cries because I can't put food into his mouth quick enough.  He has done really well and no sensitivities on the skin like Julian had.
• His eczema got bad the other day when it was hot.  All his small patches became huge and inflamed, so heat is not a friend of our kids.
• He started to pull of his socks and suck his toes.
• He knows his own name.
• After he started rice cereal he was STTN, but he became constipated (I gave him too much I think) and so I stopped giving it all together since he was miserable for 3-4 days.  I felt awful.
• Dan and I had our first night out without both boys and they were great.
• I was gone to an all day retreat the following weekend and M did great while Dan took both boys for the full day.
• On Oct 27th he finally started to sit in a tripod position.  He never put his arms down before to balance, but now he can and his sitting time is increasing every day.  
• he's not a fan of the bumbo
• he loves to kick his legs
• he wants to be held all the time, even while sleeping.
• he is always gassy
• puked a lot last night because of all his secretions. Fever 101.3 in the middle of the night.  He was pretty miserable today and not fun this evening.
• he got his kiwi passport, so he's a dual citizen!
• he enjoys chewing on Sophie, a popper pacifier (cracks me up that this baby smiles, bites down on the paci and pulls to make it pop), and books.  He can turn pages a bit.
• He likes his bouncer and play gym
• The johnny jumper is growing on him a bit.  I wish I had what J had...the jumper play thing.
• He LOVES Julian and loves to get his attention.
• no stranger anxiety, but cries when i leave the room now

Though I'm not sleeping much, I'm head over heels in love with these boys!!!
