Written on Sunday:
Julian enjoys attention from most people. Today he tried to get everyone at the park to look at him. He kept shouting, "hey, I'm right here." Some older kids (8-10ish??) Wouldn't really pay attention to him. I told him that big kids like to play with big kids. He told me he was a big boy. I said big boys don't use pacifiers or nappies. He said, "well I don't have a paci in my mouth right now."
When we got home I asked if he'd like to take his nappy off and wear big boy undies. He actually said yes. He hated them and screamed for me to take them off. Then he never asked to
have his diaper on, so we went outside (it was nice and warm). He ended up peeing outside and I was proud. Dan made an orange drink like Tang to see if we could get him to drink a lot and go again, but his belly was full after half a cup. He did sit on his potty ladder twice and I just praised him. I did put a nappy on when he took a nap (he's still quite jet lagged) and then didn't try to go without again. Baby steps.
Monday:
Today was cold, but I just kept praising him how big he was yesterday and that big kids may want to play with him. I also reminded him that he can go to the Montessori school he likes if he's potty trained. He seemed to like that idea.
