| This 17wk 1day right before going to the opera (La Boheme). That is not my belly button popping out, just my pants. |
This week's vegetable choice is not exciting by any means, but I guess it gives the sizes :)
Alright, I am in a better mood than my last post, but I was just so disappointed that my midwife experience was nothing like I had imagined it would be. I am interviewing doulas soon, so I get to choose out of a huge pot someone who I like and who will be with me every step of the delivery and the day after.
In general I am still feeling awesome. My only issue is my back. I injured it in January 2005 and have suffered with sciatica since, but thankfully yoga and core exercises helped tremendously. Now throw in hormones and a baby moving everything around and no core exercise...OUCH! My sacroiliac (SI) joint is so bad I am pretty much "dying" at work. I am in so much pain and I cannot wait to get into physical therapy. I worked last night and had my belly band on for some support and that seemed to help keep me out of excruciating pain.
Everything else is awesome! I am wondering if I'm feeling the baby or just making things up in my head. I cannot wait until I know for sure if it's the baby. Yesterday, Dan and I took a road trip to visit a friend and I felt these weird belly twinges the entire time, but they stopped after getting out of the car. I guess we'll see.
I can tell the holidays are coming up. I am so busy and I do not understand why. I gave my students a final and some failed, so I have to meet on my days off for them to complete their final. Work has been crazy busy, but I'm learning so much. I actually feel like I'm really knowing critical care. The semester is almost done, but my time off will be filled with who knows what. I'm excited for Dan's cousin to visit for Thanksgiving since we cannot be with immediate family for the weekend!
Please vote whether you think we're having a boy or a girl.
