After my crazy weekend, I thought I'd get checked today to see if the baby has made any progress...not that the check means anything (one can walk around 3cm dilated and not give birth for 3 weeks), but I thought he was really low. Right before my appointment, Dan and I went out for a great Mexican lunch, so I am not concerned about my weight at all since I ate chips and salsa, a tostaguac, and had multiple glasses of water.
Wt: 147.4
BP: 110/72
Fundal Ht: 38 cm
Baby's HR: 130s
Effacement: 50%
Dilation: 1cm
I'm not discouraged by the lack of dilation since it really doesn't mean anything. I could go into labor tonight. My midwife is pleased since she doesn't want me to have him until 39 weeks (next week). Keep cooking little guy. I cannot wait to meet you!
