38 weeks

Forgive my picture.  I got 4 hours of sleep last night and then took a 3 hour nap this afternoon.  Yes, the contractions are pretty tolerable if I could nap, but they woke me up quite a bit...but I loved the rest that I got.

Hi Everyone.  I thought I'd be meeting the little boy today, but who knows.  My contractions have been 5 min apart (like clockwork) for 24 hours and growing more intense.  I went to the midwife at 11:15 am and there was no change from yesterday.  She said they might stop completely, but I just can't imagine them stopping since they're getting more intense.  The contractions have been focused in the front and have moved strongly into my back as if I lifted a ton of books for the day, but subsides as soon as the contraction is over.  Dan and I were going to go for a walk, but I got a bit teary eyed stating that I don't think I could walk far and what do I do when I get a contraction (every 5 min), just stand in the street moaning?  My midwife and doula said to rest, but do normal work around the house...whatever I feel.  I hope the contractions don't stop and that I start dilating so I can progress and meet little man!  This part of labor is so variable, but I have to keep focused on meeting the baby boy sometime soon.
