Julian is just growing by leaps and bounds and I'm just loving it! We are having so much fun reading books, singing at the top of our lungs (he's very verbal and likes to hear himself yell, screech, etc.), and playing games like peek-a-boo or "where's Julian?". He is so much fun and I anticipate having more fun as he grows and can move around more...though it terrifies me.
Side note: he is at the point where he looks like he'll flip out of his bouncer even while strapped in. He's rolling around and scooting on his belly. It's really time to baby proof!
Another side note: besides playing classical music, he's exposed to worship, oldies, and of course modern pop like "Call Me Maybe". Spotify is awesome.
I was commenting to my neighbor that Julian is extremely dramatic. He can turn on the crocodile tears instantly and shows his joy and enthusiasm in extreme ways, such as trying to jump out of my arms when he's enthralled with something. She said that maybe it is from how I interact with him. I have been contemplating this and I agree. I am very dramatic when I read his books (some of you have seen me) and I put a lot of inflection in my voice when I interact with him. It's my personality...bubbly despite being old and tired.
Though I am a dramatic person, I can't help but think it might be Julian's personality (God help him and me)! The nature vs nurture is always a great debate, but I think both play a role here. Julian's personality is starting to shine and people comment on it all the time. I'm so happy to have such an interactive, attentive, want to discover and interact with the world baby, but with this personality will come a lot of work. He screamed when I took a soapy wash cloth away from him because I didn't want him to suck on it. He cries at the drop of a hat when I leave the room (separation anxiety is normal, but this is really early). I see the good and the difficult in this, but I'm in love! This is the kind of drama I can handle!
