Well, baby boy seems much more stable on his feet, but he still falls quite a bit when he's sleepy or if it's an uneven surface. Two days ago he was walking down the sidewalk in our backyard and I was afraid he was going too fast down the hill. I said "Julian..." and he thought I was going to chase him so he took off running and did a faceplant into the cement. Poor guy had a bloodied and scraped up nose.
Tonight we went out to eat and as he was getting his face wiped clean (which he LOVES...NOT), he pushed to get away and smashed his lip on the table. He had quite a gusher, but was soothed easily since they had a play room at this restaurant.
After dinner we came home and he lost his bearings, and smashed his left eye and cheek into the door. It was a horrible thud. Anyway, it swelled up really big and he refused to have a cool cloth on it. It's going to look like I beat the kid. He'll have a big shiner soon.
Oh my...Dan was right...we should have gotten him a helmet months ago.
