37 weeks 4 days: Breech again

Baby is breech again.  My midwife called for an urgent scan and I got in at 4 pm.  The ultrasound tech was fabulous.  She was very nice and described everything to me.

He is a boy!  We confirmed that!  His head is normal sized but big.  He measured 7 lb 2 oz.  The amniotic fluid was high but in the normal range.  I was concerned about that because I'm still spilling glucose in my urine and gestational diabetes and high amounts of fluid go hand and hand.  I refused the glucose test again since I was only +1 on urine.  I'm really not concerned.  He was bottom down and feet up by his face.

I called my midwife and she was going to talk to the OB.  I am on a list that says I'm out in the community with a breech baby...ooo.  Tomorrow (Friday) is a national holiday (ANZAC day) and my midwife pushed for the people to contact me and schedule me for a consultation since I'll be 38 weeks on Sunday.  I want an ECV and they are usually done during the 37 week, but I'm not concerned since the ultrasound tech said he was pretty mobile.  Anyway, mom gets in tomorrow at 10:40 am and I have to schedule this consultation and then who knows when they'll get me in...I suppose Monday.  All I know is that I have to fast for 12 hours before so they can rush me in for a C-section if something goes wrong.

Honestly I'm feeling well.  I wasn't sad when she told me.  I thought I felt his head up by my stomach the last two nights.  I have also grieved and processed this already.  It's becoming so real though with time ticking away.  Dan went to soccer practice tonight and Julian was testing my patience and I snapped.  I gave him a big hug and apologized and he just hugged me back.  We had a great prayer time tonight too; he prayed for the baby in mommy's tummy and for daddy to be safe.  I'm so thankful he's learning and teaching me about grace.

No need to be anxious.  I'll be taking it a day at a time.  I'm just so thankful that my mom will be here!
