26 weeks

Babycenter.com states he's 14" and 1 2/3 lbs.

Well, this week went quite fast, probably because my in-laws were in town.  We enjoyed relaxing as the cold weather passed by outside, but we also got out and enjoyed some shopping with coffee shop breaks too.  The in-laws spoiled the baby already with the cutest Benfica (Dan's soccer team) shirt and socks and leather boots from northern Portugal!  I'll post photos!  They are also getting us our pack n' play when I get up the nerve to pick one off of amazon.  I've read all the reviews, but there are too many options.

The baby is doing well.  He hasn't been in my ribs as much in the last few days.  I think my belly is going outwards now, so he has room out there to push and play...and he does!  And for a praise worthy note, my back did not hurt the entire time my in-laws were here.  I did not work during that time either, so I'm guessing that made a huge difference.  Thank you God!  I did tell my manager that I'd like to go down to two shifts a week and that didn't seem to be as well received as I would have hoped, but I cannot blame her.  It looks as if I'll start my two shifts per week in 6 weeks.

Hmm, I don't think there is much new with the baby.  Dan named him Brutus, but I don't think I can name my kid after a mean dog.

I still have no taste for hunks of meat.  I pick it out of food and prefer vegetarian options for most things.  I still like sweets, but my appointment on Feb 2nd will test my glucose to see if I'm at risk for gestational diabetes.  I really don't even want to bother with the test, but since I've passed up almost all the others and I've been craving sweets, I won't mind this one too badly.

I also have to post a photo of Aunt Lynsi's gift to "NayNay".  This prediction is right on in my opinion!

The last exciting news, the doula that I'm hiring is coming over tonight for our first face-to-face meeting.  I'm so excited to meet her!  Overall I can just say that I love being pregnant.  Night shift is hard and the physical labor even more so, but it's working fine.  School is great and I love the students.  I am a blessed pregnant woman surrounded by a huge lot of support even from those who are far away.

  2. It's going really fast, but then I think, wow I have 3 months left! My belly is going up into my ribs instead of outwards. I'm wondering where this baby is going to go since he can't go much more up (though people told me he'll go up further).
