wk 28: 3rd Trimester!

So, we're in the 3rd trimester!  "Brutus" is still as active as ever and sleep is becoming more difficult.  I'm not suppose to sleep on my back, but it's hard to get comfortable on my side since my belly feels as if it's tearing off me.  If I prop pillows under my belly, "Brutus" kicks crazily...I guess I squish him.

I had my 28 week visit today.  Today's appointment started off with drinking an orange sugar drink for my glucose tolerance test.  I gave a urine sample before drinking the sugar, but my urine glucose was a +4...oops.  I remembered that I hadn't had anything to drink today, so I was dehydrated.  Who knows what my blood glucose will show.  Here are the other stats:

136.8 lbs (with my shoes on)
30" fundal height
118/70 BP

Baby's HR 160 by my midwife (Dan counted 150).  This was after the sugar drink!

I visited a friend yesterday who has an 8 month old and showed her how far over to my right side he can kick and wedge himself into and she was shocked.  He can get his feet beyond his little home and into the farthest part of my side which is so strange feeling.  I still wrestle with him when he's in my right rib.  My midwife said that was fine and that they tend to favor one side.  My abdomen is still lopped over to the right.

It has been in the 50s-60s for the past three days, so I've enjoyed getting out in the sun.  I really hope this weather stays, but it really makes me long for this spring and for meeting our little guy!

Lynsi came this past weekend and spoiled "Brutus"!  I didn't register for Sophie, but I know she is all the rage for babies.  She also got me Bon Jovi Rockabye Babies CD which is very exciting for me!  They have a whole bunch of these from different artists and another friend said her baby loves the music.

Here are the gifts from my Cincinnati friends from nursing school.  Thank you Jenna, Lauren, and Megan for meeting in Greensburg, IN!
