Baby is still wild. I thought with all of the contractions and with the little guy growing, he would slow down a bit, but it just makes him distort my abdomen in stranger ways. The contractions are still quite frequent, but thankfully not as much as last week. Everyone at work tells me I'm going to deliver early, but I'm not worrying or getting my hopes up. No one will know until that day.
Emotionally, it has been a horrible week. I had a meeting with one person that caught me completely off guard and hurt my feelings greatly. I've had other "run-ins" with 3 other people about random, stupid things. For example, I got my ppd (a test for exposure to TB) in July, but the hospital requires that everyone needs it in February. I refused since some people say don't get it while pregnant, though it's not contraindicated. I became delinquent at work and was technically suspended (didn't make my boss happy), but they cleared me but I needed to get a note from my midwife. I contacted my midwife for the last 2 weeks and today I got a call from her assistant that said she wouldn't sign the form since it's not contraindicated. I called the office back and asked if she could write "The ppd is not contraindicated, but Alicia is refusing the ppd", but I haven't heard if she would do that or not. I may need to just go in and get it done, but it's crazy. Nothing is absolutely terrible in the big picture of things, but when I'm just trying to lie low and do my jobs, trouble seems to find me. I'm thankful for all those who have prayed for me and I will take more if you think of me.
I'm quite exhausted and look forward to my "book" baby shower (everyone is bringing their favorite children's book) tomorrow thrown by hospital co-workers and our intensive birthing classes this weekend! I paid extra money for these classes because they focus on natural birthing techniques, but most of the couples will probably be doing home births. I'm still really excited, but it's all day Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday.
The count down is starting :) 49 days (give or take).
