On Wednesday we had 10" of snow; not normal for southern Indiana. Julian's surgery was scheduled for us to be in Indianapolis at 5:45 am. We woke up at 3 am and made the drive in 2 hours (normally 1 hour) because the roads were still bad.
Julian did really well in surgery and everything worked out perfectly! When we got home, it was hard to get his pain under control. It broke my heart to see him struggle with every movement, but the pain meds worked before we went to sleep and we had a good night.
He was up every 3 hours to feed, but I was fine with that since he really didn't eat yesterday. This morning he was perky and playful with Dan. He played a bit and then I put him down for a nap and he's been resting well since.
We are so thankful for the love, support, and prayers from all of our family and friends! Praise God that the surgery worked and that he is doing well! Now we hope that he'll be fully recovered for our upcoming trip to Seattle!
